DeepSeek: The Chinese AI That’s Shaking Up Big Tech

DeepSeek is the highlight of the media because many tech giants in the US are charging way more for AI services like ChatGPT, Meta, etc., because the cost is too high to make.

DeepSeek showed the world that, with a few million dollars, it has grabbed the neck of big tech giants, and even Trump is embarrassed with his locally based AI companies.

What is shocking is that DeepShock does not even have high-tech AI chips because the USA has blocked the export of Nvidia high-end GPU chips to China, and now people know why the USA has banned them.

Why is DeepSeek a big deal?

China, a while back, released its first AI to tackle ChatGPT; however, for some reason, it failed badly to counter it, and even the Chinese locals did not try to use it, let alone the USA. That created a narrative for the USA that China cannot compete with the USA when it comes to AI, and they are nearly 10 years behind.

However, yesterday, the sudden launch of DeepSeek turned the USA narrative upside down, and even Nvidia is in hot water because they are using Nvidia A100 chips to power DeepSeek.

There are two versions of DeepSeek, which are V-3 and R1, which are serious competition with ChatGPT and Meta because they are free and have exactly the same features.

China has shown the world why the USA feels worried about China, and the USA has banned AI tech transfer to China as well.
