Can JAC T9 Hunter compete with Toyota REVO?
Yesterday, Chinese brand Ghandhara Motors launched the JAC T9 Hunter in Pakistan and promised that it will be a locally assembled car. It shocked many, and people started comparing its specs with the much more expensive Toyota REVO. As we said earlier, the JAC T9 Hunter has 2000cc horsepower. It is a Toyota REVO, which is a double-cabin pickup truck. The official price for the JAC T9 Hunter is PKR 9.75 million.
These type cars are more useful for long drives, off-roading, and hilltop traveling due to its pickup style. It has many features, like an automatic sunroof, cruise control with multi-function steering, and a modern deck system with an LCD touch panel.
This is the first-ever public launch of JAC in Pakistan. First, they made commercial vehicles in Pakistan, and they have started to make locally assembled automobiles for consumers, which will justify their price by their performance in Pakistan.

REVO VS JAC T9 HUNTER
Both are cars, and both purposes are to be used for long drives, off-road trips, and hilly road trips. We will compare the REVO and JAC T9 Hunter's horsepower, exterior, price, and safety features.
Horsepower and engine performance
The Toyota REVO has a 2755cc engine, whereas the JAC T9 Hunter has a 2000cc engine, so it makes the Toyota REVO better in engine performance. However, the transmission of the JAC T9 Hunter has 8, and while the REVO only has 6, which is surprising that it lags in transmission specs compared to the JAC T9 Hunter. Therefore, the JAC T9 Hunter has smoother gear shifts.
The Toyota REVO does not include a towing capacity in Pakistan, while other countries have it, and it is 3500 kg, which is the same as the JAC T9 Hunter. Moreover, this feature adds more value to the JAC T9 Hunter's price, while the REVO price is questionable in this regard, which starts at PKR 11.959 million and ends at PKR 14.14 million 9 (Depending on models). Moreover, both have a 4X4 driving system; however, the JAC T9 Hunter driving system is based on Borg Warner, which is a USA technology.

Safety Features Comparison of the Toyota Revo and JAC T9 Hunter
The REVO only has three air safety airbags, while the JAC T9 Hunter has five, which is the international standard to have at least five airbags. While it is a surprise that REVO has three airbags, it still charges premium pricing.
The parking sensor is included in the JAC T9 Hunter; however, the REVO does not have a parking sensor. The JAC T9 Hunter also has a 360-degree camera, while the REVO does not have a 360-degree camera, which makes the JAC T9 Hunter a more valuable product.
Moreover, the Revo braking system includes ABS, EBS, and stability control, while the JAC T9 Hunter has ABS, EDB, and stability control with a front collision mitigation system, which easily makes the JAC T9 Hunter a safer car than the REVO.
The JAC T9 Hunter is better in its price vs. performance metric compared to the REVO, and the JAC T9 Hunter is more safer car compared to the REVO. However, the REVO has more horsepower compared to the JAC T9 Hunter, but in our view, the JAC T9 Hunter is better in the price vs. performance metric.
