Karachi Kings Chase Down 161 Runs Target Against Lahore Qalandars

Lahore Qalandars started really well and posted a target of 160 for Karachi Kings to chase down. The match started with Lahore Qalandars batting first. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem started brilliantly and posted a good score on the power play. Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Naeem both dominated the match in the powerplay, and again the same issue existed as Mohammad Naeem's catch was dropped by Aamir Jamal when Mohammad Naeem made 11 runs. However, that dropped catch was costly for the Karachi Kings, and Mohammad Naeem made a good score. Moreover, the match was interrupted by the rain, and the match officially took 15 overs.

Lahore Qalandars got a good start, and both the openers provided the Lahore Qalandars with the much-needed start it required. Moreover, Mohammad Naeem made 65 runs by only playing 29 balls, as he gained a lot of confidence in his recent matches. Fakhar Zaman made 51 runs by playing 33 balls. However, the middle order and lower order of the Lahore Qalandars did not contribute much, as the match was only 15 overs due to rain, and no batsman had time to settle in. The pick of the bowlers for Karachi Kings was Abbas Afridi, as he conceded only 27 runs in his 3-over spell and took four wickets. While Mir Hamza conceded only 20 runs, he took one wicket in his 3-over spell.

Karachi King Captain David Warner provided a much-needed start, and he made 24 runs by playing 13 balls. Tim Seifert made 24 runs by playing 10 balls only. Additionally, Saad Baig made 25 runs by playing 15 balls. However, the star of the match was Irfan Khan, as he ensured that the Karachi Kings won this match and took the match to the last over. Irfan Khan made 48 runs by playing only 21 balls. Senior bowlers of the Pakistan national team, like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Harif Rauf, were taken to the cleaners by Irfan Khan. Both of these blowers kept blowing length balls to Ifran Khan, and his 4 sixes on Shaheen Shah Afridi ensured victory for the Karachi Kings.
