
Lahore Qalandars Beat Karachi Kings to play for Qualifiers Round
Lahore Qalandars easily beat Karachi Kings to play against Islamabad United in the Qualifiers Round, and the winner will play against Quetta Gladiators in the finals. During the start of PSL season 10, Lahore Qalandars looked like an out-of-touch team, and the combination did not seem to be right. However, management and Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi sorted out the issues, and now Lahore Qalandars look like one of the top teams of PSL season 10. Bowling has always been the strength of Lahore Qalandars; however, in this season, bowling has been Lahore Qalandars and its batting is strong.
Lahore Qalandars decided to bowl first, and Karachi Kings batted first. Karachi Kings captain David Warner played a gem of a knock in this match; he scored 75 runs by playing 52 balls. While Khushdil Shah made 27 runs by playing 14 balls. Moreover, Irfan Khan Niazi made 18 runs by playing 12 balls. Therefore, Karachi Kings were able to put up a score of 190 with the loss of 8 wickets. The pick of the bowlers for Lahore Qalandars was Haris Rauf, as he took three wickets and conceded 35 runs in his 4-over spell. Shakib Al Hasan bowled 1 over and conceded only 4 runs while he took 1 wicket. It is a mystery why Lahore Qalandars did not give Shakib Al Hasan more overs to bowl.
While in reply, Lahore Qalandars' Fakhar Zaman made a much-needed 47 runs by playing 28 balls. Abdullah Shafique made 65 runs by playing only 35 balls. Additionally, Kusal Perera made 30 runs by playing 24 balls. However, due to a magnificent innings by Abdullah Shafique, Lahore Qalandars chased down the target by losing only 4 wickets and 1.2 overs to remain as well. The pick of the bowlers for the Karachi Kings is Hassan Ali, as he took two wickets and conceded 37 runs in his 4-over spell. Fawad Ali conceded 27 runs and took 1 wicket in his 3-over spell.
